Hi my name is Kara! I own and operate DC Chocolate Design with the continuous support of my husband and our families.
DC Chocolate Design began in spring of 2018, but my love of chocolate began as a small child. This love of chocolate was nurtured by my chocoholic parents. I attended the University of Illinois and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Food Science. During my college years, I had an internship with a leading chocolate and cocoa processing company. I ultimately made chocolate and candy my career.
I worked in big chocolate and cocoa for several years until my husband and I decided to leave the city and corporate life. We moved back to Door County, where he grew up. With this new adventure, DC Chocolate Design was born.
DC Chocolate Design is a company that focuses on a high quality products. We are centered around our customers and our love for Door County. We love having a part in our customers' special days. DC Chocolate Design will make chocolates for customer's weddings or parties in their favorite colors and favorite flavors.
